Yes, all Antonina’s certified gluten-free products are made in a dedicated tree-nut and peanut-free
facility. In addition, most are also soy-free.
From the beginning (even before it was so popular), Antonina’s has always used clean, all-natural
ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. We believe you can taste the
difference which is why we use real butter, cane sugar, and other non-GMO ingredients so you
feel good about serving our treats to your family and friends.
If the store sells Antonina’s products at room temperature, there should be a best before or sell-by
date sticker applied by someone in the bakery department. It is best to consume our products
within 5-7 days of thawing for the best tasting experience.
They do not, although the frosting we use on our cakes and cupcakes is made using real butter and
may become soft at room temperature. Storing the cakes and cupcakes in the refrigerator then
taking them out 15-20 minutes before serving results in frosting with a firmer texture that is also
delightfully creamy.
Yes, you can freeze our products to extend the shelf life, but we recommend you don’t thaw and refreeze them more than once. Many of the stores that sell our products have them in their bakery freezer. This is a great way to ensure you have the most time at home to enjoy these delicious treats. It typically takes less than 30 minutes for our products to thaw on your counter although you may want to give our layer cakes 15-30 additional minutes.
If you have trouble finding our products on the bakery table or in their freezer, ask the bakery manager of your favorite grocery store if they can bring them in. If you have purchased them in the store in the past, they may have them in their back freezer or temporarily be out. Hearing from their customers is a good reminder to have them available again.
